I'm Xi Chen, a Chinese author-illustrator focusing on kidlit. Currently located in Morrisville, NC, US.

I was a full-time game artist for more than 8 years, working on concept art and modeling for titles like Temple Run 2, Temple Run: Legends, and many more unannounced projects that were whimsical and family-friendly. I decided to pivot my creative vision to kidlit. I want to use my skills to illustrate projects that are character-driven and full of rich environments. As a Chinese artist, I hope to tell stories with a different perspective that can broaden children’s horizons.

I love drawing quirky characters and magical creatures in vibrant colors with dynamic angles. I naturally gravitate towards art styles with mastery of art fundamentals and a strong commercial appeal.
